Séverine Balanqueux founded Titlee in 2005 after returning from her honeymoon in South India. She aimed to create a seasonless, timeless, and effortless collection of accessories, as delicate and subtly colored as a butterfly, which is what "Titlee" means in Hindi. Desiring the collection to be entirely made in France with the help of skilled craftsmen, she focused on permanent and classic styles. Initially a textiles range, Titlee transitioned to jewelry in 2009 when Séverine designed some necklaces that were so successful she decided to concentrate on jewelry. Inspired by the people she meets and her travels, especially by New York, which influences much of Titlee's collections, each piece of jewelry is often named after a street or neighborhood in the city. Children's illustrations are another endless source of inspiration for her. Each season, new collections reflect her creative journey, showcasing jewelry she herself would love to wear. Titlee combines unique gold chains with engraved or enameled pieces, creating surprising and colorful associations. Made in Paris, each piece is hypoallergenic and gilded with 24K gold (1 micron for general pieces, 3 microns for rings), ensuring that every piece of Titlee jewelry is unique and special.
